---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A house portrait is such a unique gift. It captures the essence of the home, and the personal attachment to that space. Due to the time that I give to each illustration, the spaces each month are limited, but if you miss out and would like to receive an email notification in advance of the next month's booking window, just let me know!
The Process
Booking a slot / Sending Photo
Once you have placed your booking, the next step is to send on the photo of the house. It’s so important to send a clear photo of the front elevation of the house so that I can see the important details to be included.
Please remember that the illustration work is an interpretation of the photo, so if there are any details that are important to include, then let me know at this point so that I can make sure to include them. If you have any doubts about the photo you are sending, feel free to send more than one and I’ll choose the clearest one to base the illustration on. If you would like anything written in calligraphy underneath the illustration (for example, a house name, or moving date..), send that on with your photo too!
Turnaround Time
Your illustration will be completed between the first and last week of the month you have booked for, but once I have received your booking I will get in touch with you to let you know the date that I will be sending you the preview of the finished illustration.
What's included?
I adopt a mixed media approach to my illustration work (watercolour, pen, ink, pencil). Included in the cost is an A4 mounted print of the watercolour and ink illustration. (Note: the size includes the mount. If you would like to leave out the mount that's no problem).
Once I have finished the illustration, I send on a preview to you via email. Included in the cost is also a round of small edits so at this point you can let me know if there’s anything you would like me to add or amend. The illustration is then prepared for printing, and is printed using archival inks onto our linen textured cardstock in studio. It is packaged in our compostable wrap and sent off via An Post.
Framing
If you would like to add a frame, we offer a choice of black or white wooden frames. These are made in Ireland, and have glass fronts, with fixings at the rear for wall mounting. Please use the Frames lising here to add the frame to your order, and select A4 for the size.
